eSIM Connected but No Internet?
If your GlobalGo eSIM shows a mobile signal but you cannot access the internet, the eSIM may simply need a few settings adjusted. Follow the troubleshooting steps below before making any changes to your eSIM installation.
Common Signs of a Connection Problem
Websites and apps load unusually slowly.
Your phone shows a limited or lower-speed mobile connection.
Your eSIM shows signal bars, but mobile data does not work.
Important: Do Not Delete Your eSIM
Removing the eSIM is not a recommended troubleshooting step. Some eSIM profiles may not be reinstallable using the same activation details. Keep the eSIM installed and follow the steps below first.
Make Sure You're in the Covered Destination
If your GlobalGo plan is for Indonesia, you can install the eSIM before travelling, but mobile service will only become available when you are within the plan's supported coverage area and a supported network is available.
Turn On Data Roaming
GlobalGo travel eSIMs connect through supported partner networks. Data Roaming may therefore need to be enabled for your GlobalGo eSIM.
1. Go to Settings → Cellular (or Mobile Data).
2. Select your GlobalGo eSIM.
3. Make sure Turn On This Line is enabled.
4. Enable Data Roaming when required by your plan.
Select GlobalGo for Mobile Data
If your phone is still using your primary SIM for mobile data, your GlobalGo eSIM may be active without actually providing the data connection.
1. Go to Settings → Cellular → Cellular Data.
2. Select your GlobalGo eSIM for mobile data.
3. Consider turning off Allow Cellular Data Switching to prevent your iPhone from switching data back to your primary SIM.
4. If your GlobalGo plan is data-only, keep your regular SIM as the default voice line if you still need calls or SMS.
Refresh Your Mobile Connection
Sometimes your phone simply needs to reconnect to the local mobile network.
1. Turn Airplane Mode on for approximately 30 seconds.
2. Turn Airplane Mode off again.
3. Give your phone a few minutes to search for and register with an available supported network.
Try Manual Network Selection
If automatic network selection is not connecting correctly, you can temporarily try selecting a supported network manually.
1. Go to Settings → Cellular.
2. Select your GlobalGo eSIM → Network Selection.
3. Turn Automatic off and wait for the available network list to appear.
4. Select one of the supported networks specified in your GlobalGo plan instructions.
5. Once your connection is working, you can return Network Selection to Automatic.
Still No Internet?
You may be in an area with limited network coverage, or there may be a temporary issue with the local network. Leave Network Selection on Automatic and give your phone some time to reconnect.
β Keep your GlobalGo eSIM installed.
β Keep Network Selection set to Automatic.
β Check that the GlobalGo eSIM is selected for mobile data.
β Contact GlobalGo Support if the connection still does not work.
